Cornyn's Prediction: Chaos!
Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) has a unique take on what's next to come at the Justice Department in the wake of Alberto Gonzales. Just now on CNN:
This will not bring peace. This will bring more chaos.
No word yet on whether the chaos created by Alberto Gonzales will follow us home.

All of Cornyn's whistling past the graveyard of Republican ehthics has left him looking very foolish .... hope he gets a primary challenge.

Is he the new nominee for AG?
Punchy wrote on August 27, 2007 11:13 AM:Quiz! Cornyn's statement was made about:
1) The invasion of Iraq
Ellen wrote on August 27, 2007 11:44 AM:2) The gov't response to Katrina
3) The Bears sticking with Grossman as QB
4) The firing of all the qualified but disloyal USAs
5) The nomination of GWB
6) The "election" of GWB
7) The re-election of GWB
This isn't about GW Bush withdrawing support for Gonzo, this is about the public at large withdrawing support for Republicans. Seen their fund raising numbers lately? Apparently we govern via our pocket book.
wagonjak wrote on August 27, 2007 11:49 AM:And that little lickspittle Mike Allen was on MSNBC saying Gonzo's resignation will be damaging to.....
You guessed it! The DEMOCRATS! His reasoning being that Alberto has been a lightning rod for Dem criticism and anger at the White House.
While there may be a grain of truth to this, it frustrates me that every Republican scandal and setback is always framed by the talking heads in DC as being damaging to Democrats...
JEP wrote on August 27, 2007 12:01 PM:lets get our our Republicanese dictionaries and look up their definition of "chaos."
Oh, I see, they consider "public scrutiny" and "oversight" to be the worst forms of "chaos."
Well, now, that explains everything...

BTW, wasn't Chris Dodd's office burglarized this weekend?

"We The People" have been sleeping and seem to be waking up and they don't appear to be happy! Once creditability (in a relationship) has been lost no matter what you do, it's not coming back! People normally view trust as an either/or situation where they do trust or they don't trust at all. Trust actually is a ladder with many rungs from NO trust (bottom) to complete trust (top) but only those who have experienced deep betrayal learn what is should be. And I need to add that no one should have complete trust towards anything, even themselves. It looks as though there still is a lot of learning yet to happen and where things are appear to be just another progressive stage towards our journey of reaching sanity.
