Scooter "28301-016" Libby
Scooter Libby has a new name: inmate number 28301-016. That's according to the Bureau of Prisons, which is ready and waiting for Libby's arrival.
After losing a motion earlier this month to delay his first day in prison, Libby's currently trying a last ditch appeal before reporting to prison later this summer. If he wins, he'll remain free until an appeals court decides whether to uphold the verdict against him; if he loses, only a pardon could save him from beginning to serve his 2 1/2 year sentence.

Close enough for any of us free-associators who endured multiple onslaughts of a certain rather grating Broadway show in a past decade...

I didn't Pardon anyone". Good old 28301-016 stays out of the Big House. And then, after the '08 Elections, with nothing at all left to loose, Bush issues the pardon.

Anyone??
Watch: he'll get credit for time served while languishing.

Here's something I didn't know - Manuel Antonio Noriega is scheduled for release in September 2007.

That gives Noriega enough time to run as the next Republican presidential candidate, doesn't it? What, he wasn't born in this country? Maybe Arnold S. can help him get around that small obstacle.
Justintime wrote on June 28, 2007 2:35 PM:Surprising that BushCo failed to have Noriega whacked while he was in prison.
Noriega has a lot on BushCo just as Saddam did.
I hope Noriega gets into a witness protection program when he walks out.
Dead men tell no tales.

Oh well, Fox will get him his own show in a year or two.

It only took about 6 or 8 years for Marc Rich's presidential pardon to come through. Hopefully for Scooter, he's hired a better lawyer.
