It is established by her admission that politics were a litmus test, even though it was illegal. (Issa's BS assertion notwithstanding.) That will be compared and contrasted with all other testimony, and documentation, given to the Committee. If she is busted for perjury, then that will be a violation of her agreement re. limited dimmunity.

All of tht keeps the issue alive, and front and center -- and I recommend reading the article on which Lee based her initial questions.

The relevant issue as concerns oversight by the Committee is law, not politics. You are only talking opposing politics.

This is fair warning that if more DOJ Staff counsel are going to be asked questions -- as they should be -- then the time to get these kinks out of the Committee review process is now; if it works, they'll be ready to dive into some more complicated handwaving from the White House.

Anyone else have any suggestions on getting the Congressional Committees up to speed, and learning from the apparent errors/oversights problems we saw today? There needs to be some sort of [kindly worded] advisory position with some recommendations presented to the House and SEnate Judiciary Chairmen. As experiencedd attorneys as they are, they are coming across a little rusty.
