GOP Rep: It Wasn't Me

I've been putting out calls as fast as my fingers can dance, and we've already gotten a response from Rep. Steve Pearce (R-NM).

"I can confirm to you that the congressman did not contact Mr. Iglesias about the courthouse investigation," Pearce spokesman David Host told me. As McClatchy reported, the case Iglesias was referring to in his interview involved a former Democratic state senator who "took money to ensure an $82 million courthouse contract would go to specific company."

I'll be providing updates as I receive more answers.

This could be fun, like the secret hold search all over again.

Reps. Heather Wilson sure stood to gain, given her close race.

Her husband, Jay Hone, is an attorney in Albuquerque, so she should have known better.

Hone also appears to have won a $99,999 no-bid federal contract from FEMA in FY 2003. Any reporting on that out there?

"Iglesias and several other U.S. attorneys have been contacted by the House's Subcommittee on Commercial and Administrative Law about possibly testifying before Congress on the firings. Iglesias said would only testify if he were subpoenaed."

The head of the Subcommittee is Linda Sanchez (D-CA).

Ring her up and see if she will subpoena Iglesias and ask him to identify the House members.

Steve Pearce has a history of intervening with Federal employees. He set up a meeting between the Adaptive Management Oversight Committee (AMOC) of the Mexican Gray Wolf Recovery Program in NM/AZ and "concerned constituents" (read ranchers).

The AMOC Committee's own documentation of the meeting indicated that they modified their proposed changes to the release management program based on the "constituents'" concerns.

Good work; keep the pressure on the skunks.

Ahh, but did any member of his staff do it? From his office? That statement is not blanket enough in my opinion.

I would think that Tom Reynolds (R-NY) might be an interesting person to contact.

Please lets all take a deep collective breathe.
This will all come out in due time . It will predictably lead back to the Neo Thug Hegemony, and we will all be elated by the return of honest government.
This wil lead to Attorny General "Abu Gharib" Gonzales impeachment- he has lied in sworn testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee- "that the USA firing were routine personal matters" The rest of the BushCo gang will also be impeached & convicted.-Including "Darth "Cheney ,,
So please believe this is the beginning of the end for this current ongoing criminal conspiracy whose aka is the 43rd President -no really the fatlady is warming up --
